Certification is intended to strengthen sustainability advisory services at ABC Pavilloner

Thomas K. Pedersen has just qualified as a certified sustainability advisor. A programme that provides insight into sustainability in construction and strengthens advisors’ role in the early phases of projects.

To keep pace with the growing demand for knowledge and competencies in sustainable construction, we at ABC Pavilloner and Concept Living have just gained our first certified sustainability advisor.

Thomas Kildeby Pedersen is a qualified construction engineer and is also both a DGNB consultant and a Nordic Swan Ecolabel consultant. He has just completed the programme to become a certified sustainability advisor at Molio. The programme is based on the role of sustainability advisors as described in the addendum to the service specification for sustainability services and shows how advisory services should be integrated into the initial phases of construction projects.

As a certified sustainability advisor, Thomas K. Pedersen can contribute from the very first ideas in a project.

It is a broad programme that provides an understanding of many aspects of sustainability in construction. Today, having documented competencies in the field is a competitive advantage, and therefore, as companies, we stand even stronger with certified competencies.

Professional expertise at the heart of construction projects with a lower climate impact

As a certified sustainability advisor, Thomas K. Pedersen can advise on how sustainability is realised throughout all phases of construction, from the first decisions to the completed building.

The programme provides the competencies to prepare specific variant studies of design, materials and products in LCAbyg, and the total cost of ownership implications in LCCbyg. The programme also provides knowledge of certification schemes and material selection, which is a strong basis for making well-informed choices across environmental and financial considerations.

For us, it is not only about materials, but about the whole. The programme helps ensure that we can advise customers even better and create buildings that last—both environmentally and financially.
