We support the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals

We take the climate seriously. That is why we and our sister companies have chosen to support and work with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

To succeed in addressing the major economic, social and environmental challenges in the world, we believe everyone must do their part where it makes sense for them.

Therefore, we also see it as a necessity that we continuously work to improve efficiency and thereby reduce our consumption of the planet’s resources.

Our focus

With sustainability and social responsibility as an integral part of our DNA, we support the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Although all 17 Sustainable Development Goals are undeniably important, we have chosen to primarily align our efforts with five selected goals:

Good health and well-being

We have designed our production with a focus on ergonomics, so our craftsmen can carry out their work as gently as possible.

We choose our materials carefully to ensure a healthy indoor climate for those who will use our modules.

Affordable and clean energy

We have a 150 kW solar PV system on the roof of our production facilities in Engesvang, which covers approx. 20% of our electricity consumption.

We cover the remaining 80% of our electricity consumption exclusively with power from renewable energy sources.

Decent work and economic growth

We select our materials with the aim of ensuring good conditions throughout the entire supply chain. Therefore, we use only FSC-certified wood.

We support local social engagement in Ikast-Brande Municipality and work with the municipality on employing, among others, unemployed people and flex-job employees.

Sustainable cities and communities

We heat our headquarters with surplus timber from production. In this way, we save approx. 50% of the CO2 footprint of our day-to-day operations.

We have converted a large part of the outdoor area at our headquarters in Engesvang from asphalt to 3,000 m2 of wildflower meadow and a rainwater basin to strengthen biodiversity in the local area.

Responsible consumption and production

We build our modules from a minimum of 75% recycled components and only dispose of materials when they cannot be repaired or are worn out.

We sort all our production waste into 12 different fractions. In addition, we have further waste fractions for our authorised departments, administration and construction sites.
