Large office building for DSB can be relocated to a new site
DSB will use their new project office in Vinge on Zealand until 2031, when they expect the new train workshop for driverless S-trains to be completed and the office will need to be moved to another location.
The project office, built to accommodate 40 people, can easily be expanded if DSB’s needs change, as it is constructed from flexible, relocatable modules from Concept Living based on the principle Design for disassembly.
Vinge in Frederikssund Municipality is a brand-new district. The city’s business area will, among other things, house a train workshop of approx. 25,000 m2 for DSB’s future driverless S-trains.
In connection with the construction of the new workshop, which is to be completed in 2031, DSB will need their brand-new, prefabricated, modular project office.
We will be working closely together across the client, suppliers and consultants, and it has therefore been a clear priority on our part to establish proper shared office facilities.

At DSB’s request, great emphasis has been placed on the building’s functionality, with a focus on interior layout, lighting and acoustics. In addition, flexibility has been a high priority for DSB in the choice of construction method.
Concept Living builds according to the principle of Design for disassembly, which means the building can be dismantled and relocated relatively easily. The modules are also installed on screw foundations, which both facilitate any later relocation and save large amounts of concrete.
It has been important to us that the building project was flexible, so from the outset it was constructed with the option to expand. Throughout the process, Concept Living have been flexible and solution-oriented. In that light, we are very satisfied with the finished result.
