BR requirements and calculations

BR requirements and calculations

In 2025, the documentation requirements in construction were tightened once again. This places greater demands on the choices you make early in the construction process.

At ABC Pavilloner, we actively work with LCA and LCC calculations—both internally and as part of the documentation in accordance with the Building Regulations. This provides you with a solid basis for decision-making and assurance that your construction project complies with applicable requirements.

LCA as an integral part of the design process

Today, all new buildings must have their COâ‚‚ footprint calculated based on a 50-year life cycle, and the values must comply with the specified limit values, which are differentiated by building type and size.

For this reason, we work systematically with LCA in the design process. We have carried out analyses of our permanent modular buildings across several building types, so we know the climate performance of the structures.

That is why we also know how to design buildings to comply with the limit values. Our starting point is primary timber structures, which also help keep the climate impact below the limit values.

For you, this means we can help deliver a building that is documented and designed with both current and future climate requirements in mind.

LCC provides a complete picture

At the same time, we are seeing increasing demand for LCC calculations. While LCA highlights the climate footprint, LCC highlights the building’s overall financial performance over time.

Some materials create value through high durability and fewer replacements. With LCC analyses, the overall solution is assessed over a 50-year period,  so you gain insight into your project from a different perspective.

We are happy to help with your calculations

Our work with LCA and LCC is not limited to our own projects. We also offer support to consultants, developers and partners with analyses and documentation.

If you need input on the climate requirements in the Building Regulations, comparison of structures, or decision support on life-cycle costs, we are happy to contribute with both calculations and professional assessment.

For you, this means one partner who can support your decisions with data.

Benefits on the construction site

From 2025, construction sites have their own limit value of 1.5 kg COâ‚‚. These requirements can be met with the help of our site modules and construction method.

The high level of completion in the modules ensures a short and efficient construction period on site. At the same time, our energy-efficient crew and foreman modules with low energy consumption can help ensure the project stays within the requirements.

We follow developments

The requirements in the Building Regulations are expected to be tightened further. That is why we continuously stay up to date and work in a data-driven way with LCA, LCC and EPDs in our design process.

If you need input on the climate requirements in the Building Regulations or help with analyses and calculations, you are welcome to contact our sustainability advisor, Thomas.
